‘Unplanned’ Beats Box Office Expectations With $6 Million Opening
The attempt to sweep Unplanned, the film that details a Planned Parenthood clinic director’s change of heart, under the rug has failed. Networks including HGTV, Hallmark, and Lifetime refused to broadcast advertisements, and an attack from Twitter did not stop the film from soaring. It doubled its anticipated revenue to $3 million and took fifth place on opening weekend.
